Religious Education at Cropredy CE Primary School

At Cropredy C of E Primary School the intent of Religious Education is to encourage children to enquire about the nature of religion and belief and to help them develop knowledge and understanding of Christianity and of other major world faiths.

 

It is our intention that RE lessons will help children to feel part of our school community, that they will see our vision and core Christian values reflected and embedded in it. We intend that our children will engage, enquire, evaluate and reflect on the beliefs held by others and the effect that these may have on people’s lives. It is our intention that RE lessons will be places where everyone is respected for their beliefs and expressions of faith and all will be listened to and allowed to achieve.

 

These intentions fall in line with our vision statement to ‘to provide guidance for every child, inspiring them to flourish, develop resilience and walk with confidence on their learning journey’.
