Today we listened and looked to see if we could hear the Canada geese getting ready to migrate South for the winter. We heard about the swallows story, how each bird travels 200 miles each day before reaching Africa and the warmer weather.
The children made their own swallows using mud, autumn leaves, hawthorn berries and feathers. They also went on a worm hunt, just like the hungry birds.
